Armona Island Beach

Accessible by boat from Olhão, a crossing that takes about 15 minutes, Armona Island is part of the chain of islets that separate the Ria Formosa from the sea. Part of the Natural Park, this island is the western end of a long stretch of sand that stretches for kilometres eastwards to Tavira.

A true paradise without cars and without stress, Armona has a campsite and offers conditions for practicing various water sports such as windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.

There is a small fishing village on the island, with restaurants that prepare delicious fish and seafood dishes, characteristic of traditional cuisine.
